EA released "Command & Conquer: the 1st Decade" on February. | First Decade is ok as long as you don't own most the games already. I bought to replace a busted Red Alert 2 disc and was quite disappointed by just how buggy and badly put together it was.
I suspect it might have been a marketing ploy to drum up interest in the C&C Franchise before they announced the new game.

Does the latest FD patch not fix things? I'm looking to get it to replace damaged/lost RA2, Tiberian Sun and Renegade discs and to acquire again TD, Firestorm, Counterstrike and Aftermath (generals doesnt work on my laptop....which is fucking up again so may actually need replacing this time)

I liked Tiberian Sun Very underrated, and Firestorm makes it even better (although you should be able to control CABAL's army).

CABAL is/was Nod's artificial intelligence in charge of Cybernetic Development and Tiberium Evolution. We then found out that CABAL is somehow connected to Kane. You can even hear CABAL in C&C Renegade's last mission, inside the Temple of Nod.
As for this new game. Meh. EA Games sucks donkey balls compared to Westwood Studios. | |

I'm saying it would have been a nice addition if you could actually control CABAL's forces - things like the Obelisk of Darkness/Destruction for example would have been cool.

I never liked Sun, mostly because my cousin hit no1 in the UK on the main server and just whooped me silly every time we played. That kid knew every cheap trick in the game (and there were loads iirc)..

. | Yeah but they did the exact same trick with RA2 Yuris Revenge, Yuri was an advisor to the Soviets, then split and formed his own side atthe end of the game.
And in TS Cabal quite cheerfully admits to having his own ambitions...
