| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! The ORCA type aircraft in the first shot look like a rip of a Star Trek ship.
It still looks amazing. I can't wait for some gameplay videos. |

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! There's meant to be new info on it coming out at the Lepzig Convention as well. I'm pretty sure EA have a keynote at it. |

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! I like the Nod buildings and the colours, but I'm not too keen on the crazy tripod light tanks/Artillery. Also, some things just look too much like an updated version of Tiberian Sun, which I suppose isn't a bad thing if you're sticking to the C&C lore.
I'm actually feeling less excited about it now. It almost like like it might be a bit (dare I say it) mediocre. |

If you'd like to see the actual confirmation, click here. It's the second video, listen out for the familur music at the end of it as well . There are three other new ones (dated 23rd August).
Also confirmed is the fact that you will be able to redeploy MCVs once you've built them. I'm not sure if I'm keen on that, since the choice of bas loaction can be the different between winning and loosing and just being able to change it sounds like a bit of a cop out.

Still I see your point though - defaulting it? I think it adds an interesting tactical element, as the enemy's base can be in multiple places - it makes outposting easier, as is already the case in other genre stablemates such as the Age Of... series (Some you can just build anywhere, which makes it chaos trying to truly finish off a determined opponent). That said, I only use that option ocassionally and do prefer it switched off if its a straight choice.

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! Knowing the enemy AI skills in previous C&C games, I doubt that the NPC will ever move their MCV. Until the last couple of levels anyway, and by that time there's normally more then one base against you. |

(fair enough I don't because I'm crap at them in anything except Campaign and Skirmish, which I rule at, but still)

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! This does look like it really could be something special.
Of course, as its EA there is always the chance of a major fuck up, but I still think its worth giving a chance.
One major downside - Frank Klepachi isn't doing the music I've got the soundtrack albums for both C&C and RA on my MP3 player, and ocassionally listen to them like I would any other album. Good stuff (and the exception to my rule about not liking industrial music)
