| Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! It's official folks. 18th April saw a leak, followed 2 days later by an official announcement that this is definitely happening. It will be in the Tiberium Universe, and once again KANE LIVES!. There will also be a 3rd playable faction! Whether or not it is the Scrin, the Forgotten, or somebody else entirely is as yet unclear. http://www.ea.com/official/cc/firstdecade/us/news.jsp?src=CC3_Tiberium_Wars

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! Whatever. I drive past the closed doors of Westwood Studios office every day for work and without Brett or even Joe K at the helm of this project, I despair of it being any good at all.
And that link goes to a Valve/EA signing deal, not a C&C press release. |

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! I totally didn't notice the end of Westwood. Gutted.
Not too confident of this being any good, but I was still addicted to Generals if only because it was online and easy to use (although recently the connection success has been terriblé).

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! I just hated how you couldn't build amazing bases like in C&C and Red Alert. That was one of the best parts, building a massive lovely looking base, complete with walls. |

| Re: Command and Conquer is back! Tiberium Wars! I grew up with the Westwood crowd, playtesting games when I was 14-15ish, helping out doing some filming here n there, and stayed close friends with some of them to this day...I can't help but show some loyalty to a good company.
Especially when compared with EA, who despite being a distributor for some really good games, doesn't have the greatest in-house game creation staff. We're not talking SCEE/SCEA here, we're talking freaking EA - grand producers of shite. |
