i got mine  wii sports pack with zelda and rayman.
don't get to play till xmas day but yeah. the forge game was pretty much empty when i went in, just incase anyone wants a wii or any accesories.

GameIndustry.biz is reporting that the Wii is going to be like gold-dust until mid-January simply because of the number of pre-orders in the UK.
I've been reliably informed that there are quite a lot of supply problems with games as well due to the high attach rate. | |

In the US you've got to be a super investigative detective or something to get spare controllers or Zelda.
The attach rate on Zelda is very nearly 75% in the US, practically 90-95 in Japan. | |

Anyone noticed if anywhere has a lot of Classic Controllers or Numchucks? I wasn't able to get any on pre-order. | |

Generally the holdup is in the supply rate of processors and flash memory - it takes time to make those and they didn't finalize chip design till a few months ago.
I absolutely love how the media describes the light bar you get with the Wii as a "sensor bar" - you can replace the fucking thing with two candles and still control the Wiimote accurately. | |

I went to buy Monkey Ball and noticed the Wiimotes were £32 (and they had none), BUT Wii Play comes with a Wiimote and is £35, and they had it in. So I bought that an awl.

When they changed the name, they got shit loads of free press and the Wii gone from marketing strength to strength since then. Sony haven't been able to pull of the same thing, despite trying.
