At the end of the day, Halo 3 is going to be pretty much the same as Halo 2, only with better graphics and tweaked controls.
Good CGI does not a good game make.
Personally, I can take or leave H1 and H2 gameplay wise.

I would tend to agreed with you, except I've been playing CoD3 on the 360, which manages to pull off the console FPS really well. Definatly as well as any PC FPS you care to name.
On the other hand, CoD3 for the Wii is a crime against 7th Generation gaming and should be buried in a pit in the middle of Nevada. And that's just becuase of it's piss poor graphics.

You just cannot, simply cannot manipulate a controller in the same way as WASD + Mouse does it.
I recall the 2 weeks or so they did a cross-server experiment between XBox CounterStrikers and PC users...it was a fucking bloodbath! A joyous, sweet sweet bloodbath.
I will conceade that it did take me a good few levels to adapt to using the control pad, and the overal experience still feels less natural then WASD+Mouse, but I'd say that you end up with the same amount of control.
I'm sure Sega are planning an MMORPG which will have PC, PS3 and 360 users all thogether. Anyway, everyone knows that PC gamers are so much more hardcore then console gamers
