| God of War 2 (PS2) Just got the demo disk today. Yet to go home n play it. Comes out in the US mid-March, but I'm betting this one boss battle demo sells me. |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) There's a few new moves in Kratos arsenal, the intro sequence was practically spot on in evoking memories of the first game, and the battle against the Colossus was amazing - I'm just getting thrown from one end of the world to the other while trying to kill this thing (and always makes me grin as the Colossus of Rhodes was always one of my first wonders in Civilization 2) |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) Have been playing this fairly religiously the last week or so.
It's bloody immense
Penny Arcade had the following perfect words to say about the game: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/03/19 |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) And that's me completed it twice on normal mode - going for Titan Mode next week methinks.
There's a bonus play, similar to RPG games "New Game+", where you can start over in new outfits I'm currently playing as the Cod of War - Kratos in a giant fish suit, with all stats/spells, etc.
The hidden "Urns of the TItans" add a series of extra things that might be considered "cheats" - such as a 10x multiplier for experience that you find in the first ten mins of the game, or unlimited magic, etc.
The story is well told, there's a big lead up to some massive betrayals in the third one (which will be a PS3 exclusive, although there's a GoW rumoured to be heading to PSP either later this year or next) |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) And apparently if you get a 999,000-hit combo or better, you get a link to http://islandofrhodes.org/index.html popping up on the screen. It's a big countdown timer (likely to either GoW3 or GoW PSP press release date) |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) Speaking of countdown timer, that's up in about 26 minutes.
And this is my pick for Game of the Year unless Mario Galaxy comes out this year and really stuns.
Seriously - any of you who consider yourself gamers out there who haven't played God of War 1 and you own a PS2...Go and hang yourself in shame. |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) SONS OF BITCHES!
It got to the end of the count - and started a 48hr count. The fuck?
I truly despair of Sony this year...
Needed to force refresh the browser - looks like a variety of movies and connection errors (due to number of folks trying to watch, I assume)...shall try in the morning. Bastards. |

| Re: God of War 2 (PS2) Sony's UK marketing campaign is amazing..or maybe just in amazingly bad taste. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...e_id=1770&ct=5
Specifically - topless women, animal sacrifice, "offal" eating contests, and an 80,000 copy magazine recall of PlayStation Monthly UK (they've already sent out the subscriber copies, but anything else is getting recalled before it hits the store)
Am about halfway done with this game on Titan mode - it's a beast on the super hard Titan mode. |
