Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (Wii, DS) Announced

For those of you you missed the viral marketing phenomena that was Rayman Raving Rabbids, you have missed out on one of the best, most frantic and weirdest games for the Wii (and a pretty poor PS2 conversion). luckily for you, Ubisoft have announced a follow up, called (unsurprisingly) Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.

Following the invasion of Rayman's home planet in the original game, the Rabbids now have their sights set on Earth and it' up to Rayman to stop them and save humanity. To do this, he must disguise himself as a Rabbid and infiltrate their ranks.
Gameplay presumably follows the same pattern as the original where you compete against, shot, hit, perform brain surgery on and generally abuse psychotic bunnies as Ubisoft's limbless platform hero, Rayman.

It's due for a release this year, so you can probably expect it to launch around November for the Christmas rush.

I find the Rayman games really pretty, but pretty dull. Like me.

I'm really not sure about the DS version. I know it's a platformer rather then a mini-game collection though.

Metacritic doesn't have particularly favourable reviews.

They should drop Rayman and start a new franchise just called 'Raving Rabbids'.
