Online text based RPG
Used to play these a lot on the ol' Commodore back in the day. The whole "go left" "use potion" "hit Jew with big stick" stuff. Was wondering if anyone knew of any I could fanny about with online whilst I'm bored.

My mate krux programmed Zork into a CGI script eons ago - anyone going to his community site and sticking in the wrong address, instead of a "404 - Page Not Found" you'd get

I used to run a MUD or two, which were pretty much text-based multiplayer RPGs, though I'm not sure we called them that 10-12 years ago. Sticking “MUD list” or similar into Google will probably find you a few.

If you want single-player, find an Infocom (z-Machine) interpreter and load it up with copies of the original Zork games, or use Jeff's link.
