Microsoft, Epic Games and Rare today announced that two of the most popular Xbox 360 games would be making their way on to Windows Vista as part of the Games for Windows initiative.
Viva Pinata is a bizarre strategy game combining elements of Pokemon and traditional strategy titles - you must build up you garden of Pinata and try and collect as many as possible to become the best Pinata farmer in the world.
Gears of War is one of Epic Games' flagship products and one of the most popular Xbox Live titles. Set in the future on a world ravaged by insectiod aliens, you play Marcus Fenix, a COG solider freed from prison to aid in a secret mission to wipe out the Locust.
The PC version of Gears will include a new level editor, allowing players to design their own multi-player maps.
Both games are said to require DirectX 10 capable graphics cards and a Windows Vista system. They will be released Winter 07.
