The controls make it awesome. You'd think it would be a bit tricky but it isn't. Yes you do wave about like mental now and again. Though my arms do cramp up a bit after 3 hours play. I've got the presidents daughter, but I just need a grenade to slow these crazy locals down.

The way I'm looking at next-gen systems is to line them up on a piece of paper and jot down underneath each the games or features you want that each has - whichever one has the most, wins.

To be honest the only reason i like the wii is because of the controllers and the fun you could have with a few mates playing it. I also like tha fact that they have stuck to the fact that you don't have extras that you don't need ie DVD player (or doovide).

even more tempted now. Who would have thought that creating a simple character like that would tempt you into buying a wii.

You go into the wii menu to do it. You can parade them and if there are other wiis near by they can wander onto their screens. It is a bit of a work out. I keep beating the hubby at bowling.

Wii Sports - Bowling, Tennis, Golf, Boxing, and I'm not sure if the UK version has Baseball or not.

Golf sounds like a right laugh. I'm presuming that how hard you swing the control is the strength of the shot etc? Can you slice it?
Is it just a gimmick though for parties or is there enough adult orientated games like Resi 4 to keep single players occupied?

Yeah baseballe is on it. Though i completely suck at it. I either swing too early or too late.

As a hardcore gamer, I'd say the Wiii is still pretty gimmicky. Wii Sports and Wii Play get old quickly.
The Wii will very probably get less gimmiky over the 2008-2009 fiscal year as EA and various other companies have announced a multitude of Wii titles which won't arrive until then.

Until then, the 360 is the home of hardcore single and online multiplayer gaming.

I just thought wii sports was just a wee game to get you used to using the controls. You cant take video games too seriously. Its all fun.
