You can either kill them with guns, rescue them for achievements and storyline progression, or have the screen fade to black and hear the noise of yourself gorging on their DNA/materia/whatever by killing and eating them which gives you loads of resource points to put towards new Plasmids.

The devs have said that your choice to kill them or not has a big effect later on in the game - which makes me quite curious about it. It's nice to see an FPS with the kind of immersion that Bioshock looks to have.

Adds a bit more replay value - I throughly expect to play BioShock through twice before I even go near Blue Dragon, despite them both arriving on the same day.

It's a really good five months for games though - got those two, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and Metroid Prime 3 coming out pretty much one after the other.

Played the demo tonight and it's pretty excellent, I love the sort of 50's feel to it. Can't wait to pick this up next week now, hopefully G-Force will be selling it by Wednesday.

Colour me pretty impressed with the demo. Had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. This may well be the best FPS since Half-Life 2.
The plot looks like it's going to be very interesting as well.

Oh, and PC demo is meant to be coming out very soon.

PC Demo is out in the US tonight, around midnight y'all time.

This game's getting straight 100/100 scores across the board with every major publication.

While there are versions of the BioShock demo available now on the web for download, I recommend you waiting until 7 PM tonight to download yours. I'm not a massive fan of FPS's in general but after playing the demo i am really impressed. might have to cave in and buy it.

but am defo buying stranglehold. oh yes.
