| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 I buy it every 2 years because it's never that different. Played FM06 to death though, can't wait to get the new one.
Pro Evo every year though is a must. |

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 Aye, it's much better than last years 360 version - a lot faster and the shots are actually like shots rather than a random balloon. |

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 It seems a good bit harder as well. Granted i was playing it last night when i was ripped (as Scotland) but it seems a bit trickier. Love Scotland having the official strip as well. |

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 I've got a few complaints:
- The graphics: They seem to be worse than they were last year. The cut scenes and replays look better. But the general in-game graphics look a lot less sharp.
- The AI: The opposition Ai seems to be far better than the AI of my own players, I dunno if thats down to tactics or whatever, but the opposition seem to cut out balls and pick up players while my defence are stuck in no mans land, going for the same ball as the keeper and causing a goal line scramble.
-The Keepers: I've been playing it on Professional and in the last 3 games I've lost 2-1, 2-2 (penalties) and won 1-0. 3 of my four conceeded were due to the keeper coming for a ball and dropping it. Or palming it when he could've caught it.
- Shooting: Seems a lot harder than it was last year, the amount of times I've been on the edge of the area, taken the bar to over 1/2 way and the player has released a trickle into the keepers hands, is getting absurd.
The keeper and the AI thing might be down to me, and my not setting the correct tactics. It's the graphics I can't get over.

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 I think the graphics are better than last years, it suffers from horrible, horrible slowdown on replays/entry screens but other than that it's more free flowing than last years version. It's more in line with the PS2 version in terms of gameplay and speed than the last 360 version. I'm going to disagree about the shooting as well, it seems a lot better than last years version - more power and accuracy in the shots. |

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 Like I said, i tmight be cause I'm not 100% used to the subtle changes with this one. I was always really good at shooting, but I just can't seem to get to grips with this one.
Anyone found out how to dive yet?

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 Cheers, on the graphics thing.
It seems the grass around the player with the ball is more detailed than the grass a bit further away. I'm just being a picky bastard, i guess.

| Re: Pro Evolution 2008 Aye, but I'm 99% of the way there about the keepers.
They really are shocking, so many balls get punched or parried, when it's easier to catch.

About the graphics thing, if you're playing it on a 40" HDTV have you changed the settings on the dashboard to increase the resolution settings to match the TV's HD settings? |
