Angela Aki's performance of Final Fantasy VIII's "Eyes on Me". Half-Italian, half-Japanese? BGW. From the Voices...Songs from Final Fantasy DVD (last year's best birthday present )
Metal Gear Solid's intro (and ending title) song - The Best is Yet To Come, by Aoife Ní Fhearraigh
After seeing the Final Fantasy symphony concert twice, the song that always stuck with me for ages afterwards was a live playing of Vamo'Alla Flamenco

And the Black Mages have their own version: |
