| Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare It's a pity you couldn't review the multiplayer because it's awesome, so much unlockable stuff to keep you going back for more. Much more rewarding than any other online multiplayer, even better than Halo 3 online and that's some feat. |

I'm going to check it out now though. If you fancy adding a post after my review about the multiplayer that would be cracking .

Basically at the start of the multiplayer you're a recruit and only the 8 player free for all or the 4v4 team game is open to you. As well as that you've only got the basic machine guns, rifles etc. to choose from - you have to also use one of the default options for your class as you play. As you play more games you gain experience which unlocks better guns and scenarios for you to play through, add to that the challenges which is basically stuff like 'kill 25 people with this gun and you can have an infra-red sight for it' so it makes using all the different guns worthwhile if you want to unlock the challenges - massive replay factor right there. So aye, the more you play the more you're rewarded - that doesn't make the games uneven though, at startup the ability of players is split right down the middle so you should always have an even mix throughout the teams. Again as you go on you can unlock the 16 player battles (on the 360, probably 32 player on the PC).
During the game if you kill 5 guys in a row you can call in an airstrike, 7 in a row for a chopper.
Fucking awesome, I've been playing it for the past 4 hours and I'll stick my neck on the line and say it's the best online FPS I've played. |

halos the worst for it. |
