| Gears of War / The Darkness
Both games are to be made into films.
New line cinema bought the rights to make a gears of war movie and dunno who bought the darkness.
Quite rightly so, both games are fuckin mint. |

Darkness was gonna be a film anyway, they sold the rights to the comic ages ago. The plan was for the game to help build up awareness before they move ahead with the movie

It heavy worked by the way, cos playing the game is like playing a fuckin movie.
I played that game non stop when it came out, that much I got the achievement for 100 online wins in about 3 days aahahahahha sad as fuck | |

I personally know of two people who loved the game so much they went out and bought the comics so yep, genius marketing.

I got bored of the game after about 3 hours in, the graphics and all are excellent and the first 15 minutes was like watching a movie but after 3 hours there wasn't much to it. | |

I enjoyed Gears. Still haven't managed to get past the bit I got stuck on month ago. I clearly fail at it.
Still, I think it could convert into a movie pretty well.
The Darkness, I'm not too bothered about. I tried the game out, but I didn't think much of it.

just completed The Darkness - really loved it. I think the game starts slow, but once you get more powers added there are lots of nice bits to play. Got totally creeped out by it though - especially playing the chapters set in hell. | |
