Same here with few exceptions (such as KOTOR 1/2, and very likely mass effect)

Really? I've played both KOTORs over and over again to unlock all the character stories.
And with a bit of luck, the Restoration Project should be done early next year which adds even more to KOTORII.

Re: Assassin's Creed

i was kinda hoping for more along the lines of tenchu or MGS. there is very little off the main track. nothing more than "get these 6 missions" rather than "get these 2 missions"

AND i think my 360 is fucked because it's decided the disc is dirty on 2 seperate occcasions. brand new factory sealed disc i might add.

This post is putting me off buying the game so far. Is it really that repetitive?

Yeah, kind of. I've found myself getting a bit bored during the assassination missions, but carrying on playing because I really want to know what happens plotwise. Depends how desperate you are to do the 'get every flag/viewpoint/citizen etc' though, because I've been trying to get everything, when you only really need one or two per mission.

Some kind of *jump to area* would be useful as well. I'm fed up of riding though the Kingdom area to get to the citys.

Still, no matter how many times I leap from a roof and stabbing someone in the throat, it remains fucking awesome.

Re: Assassin's Creed (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

Details on the 'Director's Cut' PC verion are out now.

Quote:
• Director’s Cut edition: experience exclusive PC content
Four PC-exclusive investigation missions make the game an even better experience than its console predecessors, including the Rooftop Race Challenge, a race to a specified location and the Archer Stealth Assassination Challenge, where the player must assassinate all archers in a certain zone to help out fellow Assassins.
Presumably this is going to be avaliable as DLC for the 360 and PS3 as well. I think I'll be giving it a miss if it is.

And that all important System Requirment info:

Quote:
Supported OS: Windows® XP/Windows Vista® (only)

RAM: 1 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista
Video Card: 256 MB DirectX® 10.0–compliant video card or DirectX 9.0–compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher (see supported list)*
