| Re: Games Completed in 2008 Thats what I mean, doesn't the the percentage system become meaningless when it doesn't measure completion of the game?

| Re: Games Completed in 2008 In the case of SoTN the game has multiple endings which are "secret" - completing the game and getting the first "bad" ending gets you 100% (assuming you've done full castle completion/exploration)
Unlocking the second half of the game allows you to finish at a 200% rating.
Using glitches the programmers hadn't originally intended to discover rooms that didn't count towards 100% completion (but as they were new areas on the map they added to the overall percentage) gets you over 200%.
Stupid XBLA achievement system - I'm stuck around 2% shy of getting their shiny rewards. |

Someone else I know is playing SOTN at the moment, fucked if I can remember who.

| Re: Games Completed in 2008 Oh I'm with you on the 101% club - was explaining SoTN was an unintended (in the case of the glitched areas) over 100% (or 200% depending which ending you were going for)
Hell, I just dislike in general games that give you a percentage meter - it sends me into a "did I get all the flags" frenzy - which is something I really shouldn't be caring about in a game where I'm meant to be knifing people in the throat, not picking up some arse's flag collection like some Izzardian play. |

| Re: Games Completed in 2008 I have mixed feelings about them, I've taken joy out of completing 100% of some games while in others it has seemed like an irritating add-on.
However, having a game where the percentage continues well on into the 200%'s (The reason this looks grammatically wrong is because it is impossible.) makes it guaranteed to annoy me.
Or, alternately, I might completely ignore it, either way its pointless.
