Also, the petrol excuse might not hold much water, since my car's fucked and at the garage the now, and it would take me like an hour just to walk from Susan's bit to yours.

I should really write a review, but I can't be arsed so this is a better idea. Right, initial thoughts are that it's fantastic but does have a couple of flaws.

Sneaking from the police is a brilliant addition and keeps it enjoyable rather than when you knew they'd just keep coming after you and you were fucked. Also in the holy fucking shit yes category is the realism when it comes to injuries, in that if you get shot in the head you're dead rather than your health going down a wee bit like in the older games. Driving, again, has been made more realistic; you can't just handbrake round corners this time or you're going to go into other cars and/or walls this time round, also meaning that you do have to actually break for corners rather than flying round if it's clear.

When you go for hand-to-hand combat rather than shooting the fuck out of people it's once more, yes - you guessed it, realistic. You can't just batter the fuck out of your controller and mash someone's face in. You hit someone, your arm comes back and you take a second before hitting someone again, but you also seem to tire much like when you were running in San Andreas so you won't keep hitting someone with your full force till they're dead.

A thing I liked to start with but that is now grating on my nerves is that when you go on a crazy-ass killing spree running people over the camera will slow down and sometimes zoom in. It's neat to begin with 'cos it lets you run over more people by allowing for better reaction times, but it's so fucking annoying after the fifty or sixth time.

The smaller things are so fucking cool though, like in San Andreas if you were standing doing nothing it would zoom in on a guy walking past, or a car driving past? Now your man Nico will have a smoke, and you can see people getting mugged, talking, getting knocked down, road rage incidents.. shit it's so good.

My favourite thing right now is that if you drive into a building it'll damage. The building will get fucking DAMAGED, and if you come back to it hours later it'll STILL be damaged. Same applies with cars, I left a car burning and came back to it an hour later, it was still burning - none of that disappearing or being extinguished within a minute shit.

Anything else you guys want? I'll try to not spoiler the actual story-line missions.

Not bad, pretty much getting the game free on top of the consoles RRP.
