| PC: Turning Point: Fall of Liberty Ok this is a warning more than a review to anyone considering buying this lump of rubbish.
It's not often I give up on a game especially a FPS but I can't bare any more of this, I should probably have put it down the moment I got to the first user screen and couldn't use my mouse to select anything, yes you have to use the up and down keys and enter, still thats not a game breaker. I stalk with it because the concept seemed like it had potential.
The basic story is Churchill died when a taxi hit him, rather than survived as he did in real life because of this he never lead britain during the war. Hitler then won the war in europe and now in the 1950s he's invading good old US of A. Cue you a steel work fighting the hun in new york, it's no thte most original idea on the block but it's not the worst either.
Alot could have been done but instead we get a shoddy linear FPS, the kind where theres only one door to go through, one corridor and one alley. When games like MOH Airborne and CoD 4 are giving us options this is mind numbingly unthinking material and not in the good way like Half Life 2 Linear game play. Whats worse is the hit location detection is disgracefull and the fact you have to be standing on things to pick them up. If your lucky items will highlight when you need to climb them but more likely you have to jiggle about near them for 2 minutes till they trigger.
This isn't worth all these words unless it stops someone else buying this game. Please please please don't even try it to see if I'm right.

| Re: PC: Turning Point: Fall of Liberty Here Forbes, you own a 360 - getting hold of demos doesn't get much easier then XBL Marketplace. After being burnt by S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I've been wary of buying new FPS games without demoing them first.
That said, Turning Point makes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. look like CoD4 in comparison. It's a half baked turd of a game. Shame, because I thought the plot sounded like a good idea. |

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an odd one, seems to have split a few people as it was one of my favourite games of last year.
