The No pricing issue is no surprise. Not Sure who made this game but they are clearly scared of a backlash when they announce that the whole lot will set you back £200 or something as ridiculous.

A brilliant, brilliant concept but who's really going to have 3 friends or family members round enough times to Justify paying that much?

Considering it costs around £85 over here, 200 would be a little insane, no?

Anytime I've played it, it's been a social thing - while you can go through the game solo or internet play with an online partner, I've found my best times with this game to involve booze and a few friends.

If nothing else, I got to falsetto through Jonathan Coulton's "Still Alive" from Portal last week when it was released for a free download. Amusing mates with a squeaky high-pitched voice is always funny, whether yer three or thirty.

The shittest thing, to my mind, is that they went with the cheap and tacky mics of Get On Da Mic, etc, rather than the superior IS AN ACTUAL WORKING MICROPHONE of Singstar.

Ars have some, from eurogamer: Its not good, around £180 for the game + 3 instruments - drum kit, guitar and microphone.

I can see myself just getting the game and a guitar to be honest. I don't usually have people round at mine, I tend to go to them as I'm a bit further out. If I wanted to play "with a band", then I would just go to my mates house with my guitar...

The uk uses this approace to pricing

Take the US price in dollors change it to pounds then add about 40%-50%.

eg:
Ripcurl T-shirt in US = $20
Ripcurl T-shirt in UK = £40
If you wait a year or two for it to appear in TK Maxx you'll get it for £20 or maybe £14.99

£39 for the game by its self (xbox 360)

EDIT: oofft, just noticed the cheekyness of them selling the game seperate from the instruments.
So its going to be £140 for the Game, Mic, Guitar and Drums.

I was going by this, but apparently EA have gone back to saying there is no launch date for the other platforms since I read that.

The majority of the game info I post comes from a subscription based press site which requests that it not be linked to.

You remember a few months ago when MS cut the price of the 360 across Europe? The amount of whining from Americans about it on the game sites was incredible. Especially when you consider that it's still more expensive in the UK.
