Re: Mario Kart Wii

I'm pure psyched for this, ENDLESSLY psyched as a matter of fact, but I'm scared of rushing into online play before familiarising myself with the tracks and getting horsed by cheating bastards who know all the shortcuts. Imagine if Mario Kart 64 was online and you were playing for the first time against a bunch of veterans on a course like Wario Stadium? Not even worth booting up the console for such a beating! So I may hold out for a while before venturing into online play.

Pure wish you could get voice chat on Wii games. The smack talking as you red shell some sucka and overtake him would be off the charts.

I 100% agree with this post. I'm gonna be practising hard before taking a beating.

Plus most of the fun of MK64 was the smack talking.

Totally.

Perhaps you could ask them, in the absence of voice chat, to design a feature in where someone getting owned has their username bolded?

Graphics are absolutely delicious, power ups are insane seems like theres one going off every 4 seconds. Feels as if somethings missing from it, but in saying that ive only played one cup HERE WE GO!

Re: Mario Kart Wii

I got through the first cup on 50cc mode and had a couple of battles.

Online battles with a bunch of folk you know could be pretty mad boss. I'll give more opinion once I've got into it. I'll also stick up my wii friend code.

Around about 38 seconds - their Ghosts only do one lap then face backwards.

Seriously though, this whole having a second friend code besides your console code is shite.

Are there many unlockable characters/cars?

Apparently there is in single player. And there is a way to allow you to play as your Miis as well according to Miyamoto.
