| Guitar Hero III - World Record Two new Guinness World Record holders were crowned at the Give It A Name Festival, Earls Court, London, last night, as they took to the main stage to play Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in front of over 9,600 fans.
The previous record for “Largest Audience For A Videogame Performance” was set at the Download Festival, Donington, in 2007, when the game was played in front of 3,000 people – so last night’s performance smashed this three times over.

| Re: Guitar Hero III - World Record That'd be easily beaten by sneaking Firebrand Boy onto the main stage at any festival for one of his superb Gameboy tracks. In fact that record could be beaten at any festival by hooking a console up to the video screens during changeover for bands. It would be good to set this record on the main stage of Glastonbury by playing Horace Goes Skiing on a Spectrum 48, I'd also make sure that the loading sounds were played through the PA. |

Can you imagine the audible sigh from 70,000 festival-goers when someone casts a gooey blob? |

The yelps turned to wails when I cast 'subvert' and he had a hostile golden dragon on the square next to him. |
