Daily Mail outdoes itself.

Daily Mail posts fearmongering article about AlQ's terrible post-apocalyptic vision of the US blah blah blah.

Except, beautifully, it's a concept graphic from the upcoming game Fallout 3.

Re: Daily Mail outdoes itself.

I reckon there’s a bunch of people working at the Daily Mail who are utterly taking the piss. They’re competing every day to get the stupidest things into print. There’s bar tabs riding on it, I’ll bet. Thing is, the editors haven’t realised yet and keep on publishing the stuff.

There was a group of journos who did form a cartel to get a hoax story into print a few years ago. Think it was about tree leafs or something and ended up as front page news.

Just for reference, I would like to categorically deny that Forbes or myself have been responsible for hosting terrorist materials or spreading terrorist propaganda.

Happens all the time, at varying scales. I used to help out typesetting at The Metro when they first launched in Glasgow, and we spent plenty of time making up horoscopes and letters pages. The Triforce are the kings of the modern British media hoax, thanks to their Toothing effort, which went international.
