On the PC at least, you need to get all the achievements for that type of gun.

You have to do all the challenges for all the different types of guns.

I.e if you want the gold ak47, so have to do all the challenges for the assault rifles.

If you do all the sniper rifle ones, then you have to get 150 headshots for each type of gun then you get awarded the gold druganov (done that months ago then got bored with it)

Shotgun is the easiest one cos theres only two of them

Canny mind what else there is.

Gold guns: Mini Uzi, AK-47, M60, Dragunov, M1014 shotgun

Druganov is good for sniping cos its semi-auto. well better than the barret, cos theres too much recoil on that bastard.

But after gettin the gold druganov, i was pure "HERE, I ACTUALLY PREFER THE M21" and haveny used it since.
