| Trading in Games Right, thought I would throw this up here.
If you are planning on trading in any games on the near future, then HMV seems the place to do it.
Went to Gamestation yesterday with:
Guitar Hero 5
Guitar Hero World Tour
Street Fighter 4
MK vs DC Universe.
They offered me £29 for the lot. With £16 coming from GH5
Went to HMV and they offered my £54 for all 4 of them, which I thought was fair, and would have been what I got if I tried to sell them myself on ebay.

That’s just me making an assumption, mind. I haven’t checked.

| Re: Trading in Games Gamestation have their "won't be beaten on trade in" thing. I used to go to game first, see what they were offering then trade in in Gamestation once they'd matched it cos most games were cheaper to buy there.

| Re: Trading in Games Agreed and gave me £15 for it.
No idea about what Game is offering trade in wise, but someone thinks HMV are trying to establish themselves as a place to trade in your games, and are offering a better price for them.
Either way, I don't care because it paid for Forza 3

| Re: Trading in Games The trick is, if you'd got the HMV prices, gone back to gamestation, they'd have matched and beaten them by £1 each, giving you an extra four quid, but they make you work for it by offering shitty prices to start with! I guess if they didn't like/ believe you on certain prices they might phone HMV to check.

I've only done it with a couple of titles, and not been asked for a print out, they've just believed the HMV price (or already confirmed them), and one of them the difference was around £6!

Any shop I went to refused World Tour without the entire instrument pack. | If you bought GH:WT as a set with all the instruments, they never take the game by itself - the back of the box doesn't have it's own barcode, so i think that might have something to do with it. Instead of a barcode it has "Not for Resale" usually.
