I love the wee series of completely random and really fucking hard games that Capcom put out for the GC last year. Viewtiful Joe and P.N.O.3. especially. There's some real longevity in those buggers.

Viewtiful Joe and VT Joe 2 are excellent reasons on their own to *shudder* buy a GameCube (Fine. I said it. Ugh....)
Well, that and the 4-player Zelda which I've been playing on the weekends the proper way.
Right now on my plate (I rotate my emulated and old-school games fairly quickly)
PS2 - Hitman 2. It's stress relief mostly, and replaying it for a full Silent Assassin ranking on it before I dig in to Contracts next month.
XBox - A mix of Simpsons: Road Rage and Ghost Recon. Splinter Cell 2 was too goddamned short and don't have the BB adapter to get my multiplayer on yet.
SNES - Chrono Trigger. Again. And Super Mario World.
NES - Maniac Mansion and Shadowgate (Cheers Jizzy)
Genesis/MegaDrive - Shadowrun
TG-16/PCEngine - Order of the Griffon (what was this, the only SSI game to reach a console?)
I'm thoroughly looking forward to:
Ys 6 (or whatever number it's on now), and sneaking a play of La Pucelle Tactics (PS2) next month when the gf heads off to Canada for a month
