FFVIII: Same deal as VII, I've resisted replaying it for just over 3 1/2 years and, as I suspected, it's an utter joy.

| How you getting on? I started a new game a couple of months ago. I'm loving it this time round (I've also allowed myself peeks at guides this time). A lot of the first disc is crap though.

Have you tried http://www.artificial-ta.com/units.html ? some fun to be had therein. I find the Arm X-support fighters immensely amusing.

Sweet, I'll make sure to give that some browsing later on. I always found the best all-round 3rd party air unit was the Tomcat fighter rather than the X-Support, but each to their own. Some good memories coming back here... ah the days of a dozen Campbell tanks running riot through the Core (after a hefting aerial bombing with stasis bombs usually - the only thing worse than facing units like Campbells is doing so while unable to move/fire). Good times

There is one worse option - watching as a squad of Campbells come tearing at you while you're trying to rebuild your defences from a previous assault (Thankfully doesn't happen very often)
I don't use the tanks that often though - since theres nowt like building up two squadrons of 16 x Brawlers and letting them go vapourise everything (save for perhaps the fillings in their teeth)
