| Kangaroos . . . are evil! I have to put up with the trailer to that bloody Kangaroo Jack movie everyday in work - grrrr.
The only cool Kangaroo in the history of videogames is the one in Streets of Rage 3 - the one that's been enslaved by the evil circus clown and made to fight Axel and co. I can't remember how to do it, but it's cool when you unlock him as a player.

| I always wanted Golden Axe 3, it's still one of the Megadrive games I hope to get off ebay someday ( after Splatterhouse 3, Columns 3, and many other long-time wants ).
But yeah - I had Streets of Rage 3 when it came out, and not realising how rare it was gonna get, I swapped it for something I shouldn't have. I was lucky to find a copy in Cash Converters a few years back - it's not cheap on ebay these days. Class game though - I love the music in it even more than in the second game.
They oughtta make an update - Dynamite Cop and Zombie Revenge were cool, but the Streets of Rage's are in a league of their own - I like them even more than all the Capcom arcade scrolling beat-em-ups. I read something about how Sega had licenced some of their classic franchises to some small developers, to make low-rent, budget-priced sequels. God forbid . . . |

| I got a copy of Golden Axe 2 recently in Cash Generator for £1.50. I still want a proper copy of the first game though - I've only ever had the Mega-cd version, and that's only one-player.
I'm pretty sure they've got some cheap megadrives kicking about in Cash generator and converter - they might not be on display, but you should ask, especially if all you need is the console itself, they don't always seem to put consoles out on their own. Game often have these things in the back too - when I worked in the EB in Sauchiehall Street, they had loads of cool old stuff in the back - a 32X, a coupla Mega-cds, a Megadrive, a SNES, a Game Gear . . . they just never put any of it out for sale. Then they closed, so God knows where it all went. Probably to East Kilbride Game - that's my old manager's store, and last time I was there ( over a year ago admittedly ) they had loads of old stuff - even Lynxes and Jaguars for less than a tenner.
Gamestation seems to be good for old stuff, but alot of it is overpriced ( some of it is actually underpriced too - my pals got Exhumed and Duke Nukem on the Saturn for less than a tenner together, therefore allowing them to unlock one of the best multiplayer games known to man - the 7-player madness that is Death Tank Zwei! ).
But yeah, Golden Axe 2 - and loads of other cool Megadrive games - goes for pennies on ebay. |

| You sound alarmingly similar to myself - too much booze, going wild on ebay when you're hungover ( 'just cos you don't have to pay for it then and there doesn't mean you can afford it!' I try and tell myself ), retail therapy in town as well - it's a downward spiral.
But hey - if you're needing work - I work at the Odeon at the Quay, and they're looking for monkeys, sorry, staff. Not the best job in the world, but probably the easiest and with the friendliest staff, although if you're already a bit of an alcoholic, that place'll only make you worse - there's someone on a night out almost every night of the week ( I'm averaging 3-4 a week - with my finals in less than 3 weeks' time! Arrgh! ). There's a lot of videogame junkies there as well. |

| Just go direct - you can fill in an app then and there. They would probably take people just for Friday and Saturday, but they're definitely looking for people to work more than that over the next coupla months for Easter holidays/summer blockbuster season ( which starts early this year with X2 on May 1st ). There's also usually a whole crew of staff leave about this time of year, due to finishing uni/going away for the summer etc. Like me! yay! 4 years of servitude coming to a close! |
