| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl I played it recently, and wasn't too impressed. Vehicles would have added a lot to it.
So what all was removed? |

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl I have to say it was one of the better games last year in fact I think the lack of vehicles wasn't an issue. Vehicles don't tend to add much in most games lihe this, take Half Life 2 the vehicle sections just bloody annoyed me.

In Stalker, I just felt that it took too long to get anywhere... |

Is this the first big Tunnel? If so you've a number of options to get through.
1. Fight - Not the smartest as there are bloody loads of them and they blow the crap out of you at this stage .
2. Bribe the guards
3. Theres another tunnel which has electricity running though it. Just have to time it right to walk through.

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl I just spoke to a guard who was a spy and he told me to head into the sewer, as soon as the guards in the sewer see me they just shoot. Would they not shoot if i put my gun away?

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl 9 months . . . sheesh. :P
Best plan is to save up for the best armour you can buy at whatever stage you're at, then spend some time scouring for artifacts that add bullet resistance.
I've found stalker has taught me the art of using cover to my advantage, as wading knee-deep into enemies just ends up in me getting turned to minced meat.
However this could also be due to the bug/design flaw where NPCs are able to accurately hit you in the forehead from 200 yards away.
So aye, invest in some good defenses, an AK with a scope then start sniping like crap.
(alternatively you can cheat and go mod the game to all hell, which is actually quite fun.)
Buggy game, but an excellent one nonetheless.
Can't wait for clear skies to come out now. |

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl Its a good game to leave and go back to.
Camping in the hotel in prypat gets far too spookey for its own good after a while and one requires a break from the eery silence. |
