| S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl Amazing looking next generation FPS out later on this year.
Could be another contender for Half Life 2's crown. The physics looks great, the graphics and textures are unlike anything else i've seen. Even the gameplay is original. Set in the ruins of Chernobyl in 2012 (or thereabouts) it's just one large 30km square open level. You can wander around shooting anything that moves, or be stealthy, steal trucks etc from the Army's checkpoints. You can meet with other 'Stalkers' and trade with them, buy new weapons etc.
There's a Day/Night cycle, so you can choose to be a day stalker and sleep by night, or sleep all day and stalk stealthily in the dark.
All in all, it looks like an amazing game, original and realistic. WHIT AH LIKE, MAWN. www.stalker-game.com

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl I reccon it'll be better than HL2, from what i've seen of it.
Too much hype going on about HL2, if it had been released when it was supposed to i think it would have done alot better, money wise.
BUT, time will tell.

Far Cry
Joint Operations
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl

Fooking 100 player servers. | Not really. I have a 2.8GHz processor, works smooth as a baby's bottom with the demo. Quote: |

From what i've seen from the video clips, and what i've read, it looks awesome. |

And apparently fantastic. 'Like a radioactive Oblivion' eh?
I can't wait until this finally gets released.

Anyone else playing this? I'm hugely let down. It's good and all, but there's been so many promises broken and so many things taken out that it's not the same game I was looking forward to 3 years ago
The graphics aren't that great, despite how demanding it is and it isn't as freeroaming as they'd have you believe! |

| Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl Agreed. It looks at least a year or so outdated, plays very blandly and I don't really feel like I have much of a choice in where I run about too! |
