I rarely ever went to a Monday night in the garage, that said I rarely go anywhere! The Monday nights I did go to were top notch, shame man.

Then again, when I did that it resulted in theft of my takings for the night, but hey... At least you know you've got someplace else to go, and I can see you guys going from strength to strength from here on in.

I guess the next thing on your shopping list should be "Someplace to hold a Monday night club", closely followed by "Someplace to hold an unders night", huh?

It's also worth noting that while Forbes (who doesn't work for CPL) got a phonecall from Donald, I (who have worked for CPL for 7 years) had to be told by one of his lackeys, no phonecall, no nothing. I'm wondering if baiting that greasy haired shitebag often enough online will goad him into giving me a call.

To be fair, I can understand why CPL have a problem with someone working for a rival, I mean I doubt any other business would be comfortable with you working for them and the competition. Part time for RBS and HBOS for example? Not something they'd be happy with.

See I don't see the problem with this as long as the person is doing a good job with the company they are at. If Dec brings punters into Bamboo they might go see him at The Garage and vice versa. If Barry was to start doing at a night elsewhere would Forbes suddenly go "Fair enough. Barry brings in punters, is good at his job, and the reason a lot of people come here but he's still getting bagged"?

Thanks captain stating the obvious! What's 2+2 by the way? DERP. I'm aware why they did it, it doesn't make it a decent way of doing business, nor does it take away how unprofessional they were throughout the whole thing.

Not gonna argue there. I wasn't directing my comment at you btw but at the folk who seem to fail to understand why it happened at all. I definitely agree though that "cackhanded" seems to be understating how they have done this.

i thought they were all freelance/self employed anyway?

i know of people that have worked with a hanful of companies in the same industry and hop from one to the other when the contract was up.

I don't think anyone's all that shocked in essence, but if they were gonna do it, why wait until now? Why not when when Bamboo was first announced?

Also, the manner of the firing is clearly a point of contention. That Donald didn't have the stones to face up to Dec like a man and speak to him himself is cold.

ach, pretty pish news, Monday night garage was the only thing (since monday night shack :P) that could tempt me out on a school night. Ach well cheers for the memories and all that jazz, I'll no doubt stumble into bamboo at some point in the near future anyhoo.

I'm a lot more angry about this than the Forbes issue, which as ridiculous as it is makes sense considering Forbes is in direct competition with Donald as he is the runner of these nights, but Dec?!

C'mon, is he only allowed to work for one organization in Glasgow?

This is fucking ridiculous, and has proper put me off attending CPL nights as it's just completely out of order. I love Garage Mondays (even though i'm too skint to go a lot nowadays

) and I know I definately won't be back if Dec's not DJ-ing, 'specially given the apparent reasons they have sacked him.
