| Re: Garage Mondays - An Announcement I'm also in the never going back to the Garage group, Dec was the only reason I would. I hate the place a lot of the time but I know that with Dec there's a quality, dedicated DJ who knows what he is doing and how to do it. It would take a lot for his replacement to match that, and I'm not even interested in finding out if they can tbh.

| Re: Garage Mondays - An Announcement Re DJs working for only one company:
CPL are the only guys trying to pull that one that I know of.
I work for the QM And Firewater and Bunker and Bamboo and Sea and Classrooms, all of whom compete with each other in various ways, some very closely.
It doesn't lways delight the managers and owners of places I work, but on the other hand they're not gonna pay me to sit at home NOT working, so that's just how it goes...

| Re: Garage Mondays - An Announcement I seem to remember a certain Cathouse DJ being given a bollocking for guesting at New Flesh... then all of the DJs had their contracts changed to disallow such nefarious shenanigans! |

Do managers who give you work knowing you're already at other places expect you to bring in a crowd FROM these places?
I know most of us are loyal to a select number of venues/clubs/pubs but there are also people out there who are loyaal to a select number of DJs. The whole working for other places is swings and roundabouts.

It seems like Donald is acting as though that isn't the case (Dec, any chance of confirming one way or the other?). If Dec is indeed freelance then any lingering shred of justification for this goes flying out the window. Perhaps I was being a little too kind to CPL by assuming he was directly employed by them (rather than as a freelance).

| Re: Garage Mondays - An Announcement Gah. The only reason Gayrage got my money in the past was because they had Dec DJing, it won't be happening in the future.

obviously i try to help remind people where i'm working if i meet em (or with bebo and all that stuff) but i'd never get away with telling people in one veune that they should come see me in another.
i could totallu understand CPL sacking Dec if he'd been handing out flyers for the Classic Grand inside the Garage. But just for working somewhere else? Outrageous.
What's really funny is that effectively Donald is trying to instigate a cartel on the rock music scene, ironic given Dec's psuedonym.
