    Insurance Claims

Ok, theres a problem a couple of me and a few of my workmates are trying to resolve... so, thought id stick it on here and see if anyones got a solution!
Girl in my work got insurance for her holiday last year
She ended up in an accident while drunk and when she went to see a doctor she had to sign a number of documents for her insurance
A few weeks after she got home she received an invoice and letters from this agency, asking her to contact her insurance provider and make a claim.
The invoice stated that she had gotten an ambulance and undergone different tests which she knows wasnt correct.
All her details are correct and her signature too but the invoice for what happened is completely wrong. Obviously she wasnt in a suitable state to be signing anything, having been drinkin most of the night.
If she tries to claim this from the insurance company, it could be classed as fraud but she doesnt want to have to pay the full thing herself.
They are now threatening to take her to court and she doesnt want to be blacklisted.
Are there any ways of dealing with this situation without having to pay for something that this doctor has completely exaggerated?
Any help on this would be much appreciated...

She should probably tell her insurance company that the doctor/hospital is acting fraudulently and let them deal with it.

But she's not signed the invoice they claim she has though. It should be obvious to the insurance company that she's not trying to defraud them - she would be in the same position financially whether she submitted the genuine medical bill or this forged one.

Can you be blacklisted in this country for debts run up abroad? If not, tell 'em to go fuck themselves.

It'll depend on what country your talking about. If it's in the EU, then almost certainly.

Phone whoever sent the invoice and point out the mistake.
And phone the insurance company and tell them the full story, they won't see her as being at fault as she's not doing them out of money.

Is she sure the invoice is incorrect? Is it possible as she was out of it that she did have the tests but doesnt remember/has confused them with something else? The medical jargon can be pretty crytic...

She should tell the truth to her insurance company and see if she has free legal advice with her home insurance who she can also call to get advice.

Plus as was said above, if she was so out of it can she really confirm that these tests didn't take place?
