Hi there,
On second thoughts, since they're both fairly toxic I don't think I
want to get involved in selling them, but I will of course be
sending your 10g Gallium.
Thanks

I said I just searched for "Gallium". He asked why, so I told him and asked if he had any more elements. He sent me back a list (antimony, indium, mercury and bromine). I already have the antimony and indium so I asked for quotes on the mercury and bromine and asked how they are being stored.

| Re: Building my own... Gallium. It really does melt (the liquid metal, it seems, behaves somewhat unexpectedly like mercury) with the warmth from your body, albeit slowly.
Melting after a bit of finger rubbing...
Apparently, an old chemistry lab prank is to fashion it in to the shape of a teaspoon...

Also
Gallium is one of the few elements that I'd actually call cool for it's own accord without need of fancy flash bang chemical reactions.
IT'S METAL. IT MELTS IN YOUR HAND!!!!

'mazin. | Aye.
It's tough, too. I was expecting it to be very malleable (like Indium or Lead) but the lump I have is pretty hard.

Go get it, kiddo. | Amazing! Cheers. I'll have to check that they actually ship overseas. I found some Uranium on the United Nuclear website but they won't ship it outside of the US.
Funnily enough, you bumped this thread just as I'd finished ordering some bismuth and tin. I need to get the boring ones (although bismuth is quite pretty) at some point and today seemed as good a day as any.

Bismuth
I'm looking to take a bunch of decent photographs of each of my collection so far. Any tips from the forum photographers? Like what sort of lighting to use, backdrops, technical stuff and whatnot? And especially tips for photographing really shiny things?
