It's BOS I'm with...I phoned and asked if there was anything we could do about the charge because I couldn't afford it atm...was pretty much just chancing it hoping we could agree another date for it to be paid but he offered to reverse it straight away - you'll have to listen to a speech about all the banks rules etc but giving out monies didn't seem to fuss him at all.

From my experience they should be able to do it over the phone. Just say its your first charge or your first for a while. They will have a policy they follow and thats were the speach comes in. Branches have a budget and they will normally palm off charges beacuse it comes out their own individual budget. So i think most charges and sorted over the phone these days. I mean in my bank we get paid more than branch staff just beacuse we kinda deal with everything.

Ask the person on the phone what the charges policy is and they will have to tell you. It's just they don't procatvily tell customers.
