Painstaking Market Research

A necessary evil of business startups, this, particularly if you want to see any funding. I want to see any funding. I'd be deeply grateful, therefore, if folks could spare a couple of minutes to answer me a bunch of questions.

If you run your own business and there's even the faintest chance that it may at some point have need of photography, please drop me a PM. I've a slightly more relevant set of questions I'd like to ask you.

Do you have any interest in collecting art?
Have you ever bought an original photograph?
If not, would you consider doing so, either for yourself or as a gift?
Would you be interested in any of the following? (Check all that apply):
6"x4" prints (normal photograph size)
8"x12" prints (approx A4 size)
16"x24" prints (approx A3 size)
32"X24" prints (large poster size)
Larger prints
How much would you consider paying for an original 16"x24" print (check highest applicable range):
£30–£40
£40–£50
£50–£60
£60—£70
£70–£80
other (please specify):
Have you ever been photographed professionally (ie, sat for studio portraiture) other than for school photographs?
If not, would you be interested?
Would you feel comfortable buying prints from an online gallery, or would you prefer to see them in person?
Would you be willing to pay more for a guarantee that a purchased print would be unique?

Do you have any interest in collecting art? Yup
Have you ever bought an original photograph? Also yup
Would you be interested in any of the following? (Check all that apply):
To be honest, I don’t plan to buy photos in the forseeable future.
How much would you consider paying for an original 16"x24" print (check highest applicable range):
£70–£80
other (please specify): It really would depend on the image. No upper limit, I suppose.
Have you ever been photographed professionally (ie, sat for studio portraiture) other than for school photographs? Yes
Would you feel comfortable buying prints from an online gallery, or would you prefer to see them in person? I’d probably be comfortable buying online up to around £40–£50, but above that I’d want to see the physical print before coughing up.
Would you be willing to pay more for a guarantee that a purchased print would be unique? Aye.

Feel free to PM me more work-related stuff if you like. You know roughly what I do.

Do you have any interest in collecting art? A little bit
Have you ever bought an original photograph? No
If not, would you consider doing so, either for yourself or as a gift? I'd maybe buy a photograph as a gift if the subject was something the recipient was really interested in, but to be honest, its a matter of taste, and it's difficult to buy artwork for someone else.
Would you be interested in any of the following? (Check all that apply):
6"x4" prints (normal photograph size) - I'd be more inclined to buy little images, as I like big collections of mis-matching frames.
8"x12" prints (approx A4 size)
16"x24" prints (approx A3 size)
32"X24" prints (large poster size)
Larger prints
How much would you consider paying for an original 16"x24" print (check highest applicable range):

£30–£40
£40–£50
£50–£60
£60—£70
£70–£80 - I know how much these prints cost to produce, even at home. Add in the time &ability to take a decent photo and its probably worth more than £80.
other (please specify):
Have you ever been photographed professionally (ie, sat for studio portraiture) other than for school photographs? Yes.
If not, would you be interested?
Would you feel comfortable buying prints from an online gallery, or would you prefer to see them in person? If the only way to purchase was online, and I reall wanted the image, it wouldn't put me off, but it's always nicer to see the print (and how its turned out) in person before ou decide.
Would you be willing to pay more for a guarantee that a purchased print would be unique? For sure.
