They both got 6 years for culpable homicide rather then murder (because, despite more than 40 kick injuries to his head, they decided there was no intent).
One of the culprits had a bebo (sadly taken down now), his "biography" told much about his attitude to his crime. The last post was, and I shit you not, "I'm in jail lol".

That kind of thing is actually my main complaint - most of the time "lol" is appended to something that inherently isn't funny e.g. "yesterday my granny died lol" or "I just had a potato scone lol"
Nothing "lol" about either of those. Or most situations to which "lol" is applied. Fucking stop it people! | |

It's the internet. People rarely use proper punctuation. It's the literal equivalent of saying "how come" instead of "why" or using a double negative in a sentence when you're talking to your pals.

is slightly more acceptable than
"I made myself macaroni cheese for dinner lol"
because the first at least retains the meaning of the abbreviation, whereas the second is COMPLETELY FUCKING NONSENSICAL. | |
