if he continues to do it in public and you have witnesses then you're legally within your rights to get a restraining order against him.

Seriously though, how often is he out/are you likely to have to see him? If he's going to be vicious, I would think about getting the police involved, but not yet because theres not much he's actually done, if that makes sense?

The police actually tell people to do this. Now if only someone could let the police know that no phone operator can actually do this it'd be ideal. Something to do with OFCOM regs, but in the words of Ralph Wiggum, it's unpossible.

Although many companies have a nuisance calls bureau or something similar, who can liaise with the po-po if necessary.

Note down the times you received an abusive call or text.

Inform your mobile company and the police about the calls and texts - Any more than 2 nuicance/abusive calls is harrassment and they can trace calls made from numbers that are withheld.

its all very well and good blocking him, but I think the upshot was that in addition to making abusive texts/whatever himself, he has also made a guntree ad giving her number to all and sundry, and that's not possible to block really.

had a bit of an issue myself with a guy like that when i was younger and basically my mum took the phone to answer one of the calls and just said that if there were any calls/texts from him again then the matter would be taken to the police. he didnt call again.

threaten this and if he continues to text/call keep all the records of this and and take the phone to the police. its seems harsh but i think its very fair if hes being abusive and what hes going is awful.
