That's it in a nutshell. If you're breaking the appearance rules, know it and don't care, then fair play to you. If you're actively trying to ape the conventional beauty standard and don't notice how terribly badly you're doing it, that's poor judgement but just unfortunate, and quite easy to do considering how ridiculously narrow the standard is at the moment. Besides, most members of the general public don't have impossible standards and are able to see past a bad outfit and accept that aside from those HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE LEGGINGS you're actually quite pretty. However, if you think these poorly-shot streaky-tanned orangey images of you doing it wrong are so hot that they have a chance in a large beauty contest where your appearance will be judged not only by the public but also by professionals who don't care about your lovely personality and can't see your nice eyes through all the JPEG compression, red pupils and spidery cakey mascara, it's fucking hilarious.

I'd say that it's also acceptable to slag someone off for being ugly if that person has done so to others. So I agree with Danny here, posters here have opted in to being fair game as well.


Also, I may be in the minority (in this thread) on altnation but one of the things I find makes people REALLY UGLY is when they demean others based solely on their appearance.

True, true. Thing is, though, it's a beauty contest. When you get down to it, it's about judging peoples' appearance, which is what this thread is now about. Mean, stupid, nasty - but entirely to the point. These pictures aren't someone's private collection for the memories (at which point it wouldn't matter what they look like), they've been sent in to be ranked against others based on their looks, so OF COURSE that'll happen here. And the thing everyone's noticed? HORRIBLE FAKE TAN. If you want to look good, streaks are out, as are mismatching body parts. Also, from what I've seen, people are mostly demeaning the appearances themselves, not judging the entire person.
Really, the thing to really laugh about here isn't what people look like but at just how bad half the pictures are. Posing on sinks? Out of focus? WHY?! Why THOSE pictures?
