I could comment on the subject matter of the thread itself, but its so provocative with so many nuances that im not gonna touch it with a hundred foot barge pole, made of pure circular discussion.

Yes I'm very interested in politics, yes I have fairly Liberal beliefs, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with you, Les, Puppy, etc. I think the man is sick. It's true he's done nothing wrong, but I entirely and wholeheartedly disagree with everything has said. If he's happy for his daughter to engage with "mutual masturbation" with a paedophile well then serious questions need to be asked over his parenting skills.

Now excuse me whilst I go down to the shop for my Daily Mail and froth some.

Your failing to separate action and belief. Just because he holds an extremely unorthodox and distasteful opinion, that does not mean he's actually going to act on it. He even says that he would not act on it because it is illegal.

I believe that terrorism can be used to achieve political goals. I don't go out and blow things up, because it's illegal.
Should I be imprisoned simply because I don't conform to the standard way of thinking and might commit/incite a terrorist act?

For me, the real shocking thing here isn't the guys opinions - but that the BBC paraded him infront of the country to induce some petty voyeuristic moral circle jerk for idiots. I absolutely agree with Draven, the guy is "sick" - but he's ill and in need of help, not to be put up in front of the nation as the latest facile freakshow to increase the ratings.
