| Manchester I'm gong there in a few weeks to watch some rock n roll bands, anyone know any good record stores, pre waterring holes for both the dirty water club and the night and day cafe.
Also any good clubs/places to eat. I don't care for tourist things, or getting shot. |

| Re: Manchester The best record store in town is Vinyl Exchange. There’s a lot of decent clothes/tat/punk shops in Affleck’s Palace. Jilly’s Rockworld is the default nightclub and hosts good all-nighters on a Saturday (saves on paying for somewhere to sleep). Best pub for a cheeky daytime pint is the Star & Garter, behind the railway station.
Emma Blue’s originally from Manchester. Drop her a line and ask for advice.

| Re: Manchester Weekdays or weekend?
Semi decent watering hole for a regular boozer is Grand Central.. and there's another place right behind it that I cant remember the name of.. http://www.mymanchester.org/manchest...nd_central.htm
If it's a saturday night, you want to head to The Ruby Lounge.. they have a club called Caged Asylum.. basically a rock club with lap dancing waitresses.. http://www.cagedasylum.com/

| Re: Manchester Vinyl Exchange is pretty good, Picadilly Records and Roadkill are decent as well. If I remember rightly all the record shops are pretty much within a block of each other. Colin got an OG copy of SSD - The Kids Will Have Their Say for £7 in some wee place off Oldham Street (the name escapes me).

Right smack in the city centre.. not luxurious, but not scaby.. just full of stag and hen nights....
However.. I'm staying in this placetonite until I get the keys to my new flat tomorrow.. it's like a really nice big one bed flat, and I got a deal so it was only £50 for the night.. very schmancy! http://www.bridgestreet.co.uk/furnis..._Worldwide.htm
