Where are you living/Whats the sketch with rent and that?
I've been looking at my own place again, but the prices are making my wallet shrivel up.

| Re: People who live on their own Bowman Street in Govanhill, just off Victoria Road. The rent's more than I was planning on paying (£425) but it's Council Tax band A and cos I'm on my own I'll get the 25% single occupant discount on that too. Plus it's fully furnished (including pots/pans and stuff like that) cos the owner is moving down south to live with her boyfriend so I won't need to splash out on loads of home stuff.
SO much to think about though! I'm looking forward to having longer in my bed in the mornings, it's only 6 mins on the train to central instead of my usual 35 from EK (plus the 20 min car journey from Strathaven!). |

You can walk it in about 20 mins too, depending where you are.
My council tax was band B when I was in Cathcart and I thought that was pretty cheap.
Good on you though.
It a nice size and shit?

It a nice size and shit? | Yeah the transport links are why I picked the south side still got my car but I'll only need that for big food shops/going back to strathaven and stuff.
Yeah it's a one bedroom but the bedroom and living room are pretty spacious, it's got a wee cute kitchen and a big storage cupboard in the hall. Anything's an improvement on the boxroom I have at my parents house!
Central heating, double glazing, laminate flooring and all the amenities of Victoria Rd/Pollokshaws Rd on my doorstep
oh and hi to my soon to be new neighbours!

| Re: People who live on their own just out of interest, can you switch your energy supplier even if you're renting? I'm pretty sure it says in my lease I cant, but I'm thinking about challenging it. |
