| Warning : Rose sellers in Glasgow may be pickpockets. Just a wee heads-up...
My boss at work was out on Friday night, and ended up getting the usual "You buy rose?" not-taking-no-for-an-answer shite at the bus stop.
Unfortunately, after a few minutes of hassling, she noticed that one of the bastards had his hand in her handbag, and was about to dip her purse.
Her mate noticed at the same time she did, and he tried to claim that they were crazy and had been drinking too much - As he legged it down the street.
Given that she was sober at this point, and pretty levelheaded and trustworthy anyway... I figure it'd be a good idea to keep an eye on your bag if you do end up surrounded by folk trying to hawk rubbish flowers or shite with blinky LEDs.
Of course, it's common sense anyway, but now we know at least one of em's at it.
Watch oot, folks. |

| Re: Warning : Rose sellers in Glasgow may be pickpockets. Oh, do go on, let me know what you find offensive.
One of the people who is selling roses in Glasgow tried to pick my friend's pocket.
Therefore, if someone on here is hassled by a rose seller, there's a chance that it may be the same guy.
It's common sense to keep an eye on your bag regardless of the situation, but we now know that one of the rose sellers is a pickpocket.
Therefore, it's worth keeping a special eye on your bag if someone tries to sell you a rose, and persists after being told "No thanks."
What's the problem? |

I see where y'all are going with this.
I hope to hell she does exist, though, coz if not I'm gonna be screwed when I turn up for work on Thursday and there's nobody to open the door for me! |

Why single this out as an identifying feature. Surely the fact they are selling roses should be enough? Quote:

| "At least one of them is at it" - implying more of them are. Those filthy foriegners.

Only rose-sellers.
And "You buy rose" was a direct quote. |

In all honesty you probably have more of an issue with folk selling things like this on the street then the race of the people. "you buy rose" is just an odd thing to include... Unless you were worried people might not know who you meant by "rose sellers".
