| Re: Deal With The Heat? I love the sun - but my work is an actual greenhouse. One wall is just windows and there are windows all down two other sides but...................none of them fucking open!!!!!! Plus the AC sucks. I've got a fan at my desk but all it's been doing is blowing the warm air about. If it was just warm I could deal with it but the humidity can be overwhelming.

| Re: Deal With The Heat? I haven't been dealing with it very well with my boyfriend having the hottest house in the world.com and now I am back working in a care home where the residents complain about having the door open.
I feel I am destined to look terrible until the humidity passes. |

| Re: Deal With The Heat? I cannot believe I didn't bring my dress down here. It may also be black, but it's lightweight, has short sleeves that protect my shoulders and is generally more suitable for wearing in hot weather than the rest of my wardrobe. Eejit. I just asked a friend from London how to cope with the heat down there, and she said 'ice bath'. Not suitable when outdoors all day, unfortunately. Halp.

| Re: Deal With The Heat? It's not so bad tonight there's a wee bit of a breeze. Being on the third floor helps as well I suppose.
Generally I've been drinking even more water than usual (6 litres a day or so) and eating a lot of frozen smoothies. Today i played two rounds of golf and fives for an hour and suspect I may have sweated out all the fluid in my body though. |

What are you a fucking lizard?! Only reptiles feel that way about this kind of weather. You know, I'm a mammal. I can afford scarfs, coats, cappachino and rosie cheeked women and all are available for sale.... on the streets of New York.
