| So I just lost my job because of this 'credit-crunch'.... I'm not too bothered about it, I didn't really like the job all that much. I work(ed) in Comet in Irvine, I've got until August 10th and after that I'm gone.
They told me the reason was due to the economic crisis the company have to cut budgets by losing staff, and I've been chosen to go since I'm newest (despite having worked there now for almost a year).
I was mostly shocked at the fact the credit crunch thing is actually this bad, I thought it was just one of those media-hype things. |

| Re: So I just lost my job because of this 'credit-crunch'.... It's not that it's media hype, it's that it takes time for the effects to trickle down. If you read the business news at all, then it's easier to see the effects as companies post their quarterly earnings and so on, not to mention the number of morgage companies and so on that are either applying for Federal Aid or going bust.
Still, it's shitty that it's come down to folks loosing their jobs. |

| Re: So I just lost my job because of this 'credit-crunch'.... Sad to hear that, kinda. Hope you find a new job. Having said that, I'm glad, because this fucking idea that the credit crunch is some mythological tyrant that affects no one is fucking pissing me off.

| Re: So I just lost my job because of this 'credit-crunch'.... quite self-fulfilling presumably. companies worry about future falling sales and lay off staff, who then have less disposable income.
if only we could persuade companies to think "uh-oh, profits are gonna fall, let's hire loadsa new staff so more people are in work buying our good and services!"

You record Exile on Main Street.
I reckon yer maw's likely to record one of the seminal albums of our times. Do it.

Haha.

Seems like a bit of a tasteless complaint.
