Well, I don't need to work for a while, dear forum. Why? The why is because the pub myself and a friend bought four months ago, did up and turned around, which some of you know about if I chat to you. That one. We just sold it to Weatherspoons for three times what we paid for it.

Oh, yes.

If you wish to think this is a lie - fair enough, chaps. Post away. But in the back of your mind you'll know fine well you're slaving away/sitting on your PC all day with nothing better to do and skint/still studying for your degree/etc, and I'm sitting back doing nothing. Well, I say nothing. I'm going to plan myself a wee trip around Europe. With a backpack 'cos I'm still a tight bastard.

I could not be more happy right now. Or, drunk since we closed at 12pm and drank like fuck with the regulars and staff.

Weird thing.. we'd not actually got round to naming the damn thing - best part is there's a Weatherspoons in Portland Street just now and they're considering closing it apparently 'cos they want to move the whole franchise thing to ours. Nah, not really, just someone mentioned it to me when you were chatting away to them on MSN while I was in their hoose, if that makes sense.

Acht, it's not really life changing money. I'm just drunk from 12 hours of drinking away with the rest of the guys and making a profit when I expected to honestly make a loss for at least the first year.

Definitely moving to Glasgow to get another job though - this time using the damn degree. Or, could buy Stavka, I guess.

Aye, I think when you make a success such as this - and given that pubs are closing right left and centre this is even more of an accomplishment - you've got every right to be smarmy.
