| Marches In Glasgow? Was wondering through Blytheswood Square today when the Pride March was assembling and couldn't help thinking that it seemed quite small compared to the Mayday march when I was last on it.
Then I remembered a few weekends previous when the Orange lot were assembling in Blythswood Square, and it was bigger then either Pride or Mayday. Think they were marching to commemorate the anniversary of Omaha, but I wasn't sticking around to find out.
So anyway, it set me wondering about what the biggest marches are in Glasgow and when others there are besides the Orange Lodge, Pride and Mayday. Anyone know any others?
I'd presume that the Orange one around the 12th is the largest and the figures that I can find suggest that Pride and Mayday both attract around about 3,000 people. |

| Re: Marches In Glasgow? I'm guessing you meant Omagh? Unless there was a large Orange contingent involved in the D-day landings that I'm not aware of.

| Re: Marches In Glasgow? Not really, bigotry is both a powerful motivator and rallying force. Look at football matches. |

| Re: Marches In Glasgow? The Pride march wasn't hugely advertised but it grew to a good size. Apparently it's the first Glasgow Pride celebration as opposed to Pride Scotia. |
