Can I have it?
a lot of big "national" charities don't "help" scotland because of variances in laws (and other mince) and there's usually some form of scottish equivilent (see all the stuff in the press at the start of the week with SSPCA vs RSPCA). Mabye a poll would be the best way and change them once a month/quarter or summat. Personally in addition to the three i listed above i think it would be good to promote small charities that don't get the usual large scale coverage as well as highlight certain events such as breast cancer care week/world AIDS day etc.

The interval between birth and death is fractal. Any given moment is infinitely deep and rich, and therefore one lifetime is quite enough for me.
The Prostate Cancer Charity?
http://www.prostate-cancer.org.uk/
March 2009 is Prostate cancer awareness month.
Having a month long awareness campaign is an exciting development and reflects significant growth within The Prostate Cancer Charity and in the profile of prostate cancer, which have increased year on year. However, an astonishing 70% of adults in the UK still do not know what the prostate does, let alone about prostate cancer itself, which is why it is essential for us to raise awareness.
Prostate cancer affects almost as many men as breast cancer affects women. There are 35,000 men diagnosed every year with prostate cancer compared to 44,000 women with breast cancer. 10,000 men die of prostate cancer every year; just over 12,000 women die of breast cancer each year.
