The past few fundraisers I've done tended to be for well known charities which has kind of bugged me for the same reason. My point was you could draw attention to charities who aren't as popular/well known instead of charities we already see advertised every day.

I like the notion of supporting the music therapy charities like the ones mentioned by Al and Tony. There's a bit of synergy there I feel.

I'm with the music charities too, much more in keeping with what we're all about. I've been involved with Nordoff Robbins a few times with various events I've worked on and always found them a worthy cause.

Whilst there's other charities I'd sooner see helped I certainly can't fault the idea of music charities, get's the Omm thumbs up.

i think if charities had enough money, they would cease to exist.

also, by supporting one charity, you don't automatically think all other charities are worthless.
