Altnation - Charity - Banners

Brought about by the Alzheimer's thread. I've decided rather than waste some banner adverts on Google I'll add a few charity banners to the mix on here. So the question to you AN members is which charity's should we support here?

I'd like to aim for 3. So suggestions please.

I currently donate to Cancer Research, World Vision and AICR, all of which are worthy charities. For Altnation though I'd suggest maybe Cancer Research UK or the Teenage Cancer Trust, a 'give blood banner', and maybe another charity that changes every three months or so which members get a say/vote in?

NSPCC, cancer research and Shelter or the NAS (or equivalent disability mental health charity)

I'd much rather give money to animal charities than children's charities. Children are generally dreadful.

Believe me an afternoon sitting reading the articles I'm reviewing for work and suddenly bequeathing all my wordly goods the NSPCC seems like an excellent idea. If only so I don't have to read the words distended and tissue damage ever again...

Nah, it doesn't bother me but I fully expected someone to come rushing in saying "Would you rather see a dog killed or an innocent baby~!" or something equally stupid, and start a big 'who deserves money more' debate.
